Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise, guidance and hands-on assistance for all aspects of the physical facility operations and maintenance for each assigned facility.
  • Assist and provide on-going training and guidance to each facility Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist in the use of the computerized maintenance management system and electronic work orders.
  • Make repairs and conduct the duties of Maintenance Supervisor to assist in any center.
  • Consult with contractors on scope of work and pricing on proposals for work.
  • Manage contractors, inspect contracted work and give guidance on discrepancies.
  • Conduct center audits to include life safety, equipment condition, building appearance, deferred maintenance, safety concerns and capital needs.
  • Assist with inspections conducted by various governmental agencies including life safety.
  • Respond as needed and/or requested to facility emergencies or urgent tasks.
  • Provide prompt response to calls and electronic communication as needed.
  • Be a resource to Center Administrators and Regional Vice Presidents.
  • Consult with Sr. Director of Environment of Care on all physical facility related issues.

Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum experience in healthcare facilities with direct experience related to hands-on maintenance and life safety.
  • Experienced troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, alarm systems, appliances, refrigeration equipment, and commercial building systems.
  • Ability to follow written directions, mechanical guides and manufacturers specifications regarding equipment.
  • Commercial Construction experience and the ability to read blueprints is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-directed at all times.
  • Ability to travel overnight to perform responsibilities.
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft business products and other web based programs.
  • Moral integrity and good use of common sense is a must.
