The Resident Services Director supports the Administrator in oversight of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities 

1. Supervises, counsels and evaluates Caregivers
2. Prepares Caregivers’ daily work assignments, ensuring that work is distributed in an efficient and equitable manner
3. Conducts daily care plan meetings at the change of shifts
4. Supervises, counsels and evaluates the LPN’s and the medicine pass process as applicable. 
5. Manages all areas of the Medication Room.
6. Updates/coordinates care plans with Unit Coordinator/Administrator
7. Maintains schedules for visiting physicians and coordinates appointments for elders
8. Identifies needed in-services and coordinates their programming with the Unit Coordinator/Administrator.
9. Provides for or oversees the nursing treatments provided in the facility
10. Oversees the daily census and ensures its accuracy
11. Works with Administrator to ensure payroll is accurate
12. Oversees day to day operation of the unit to ensure functions are carried out to meet the needs of elders in compliance with individual care plans
13.  Oversees and assists in calls to doctors in reference to orders, pharmacy, diets, review test results and follow ups as necessary.
14. Reviews physician’s orders with Medication Administration Records monthly; oversees match back of med carts to MARS weekly, reviews monthly ADL orders for accuracy.

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Prepares weekly work schedules for Caregivers and LPN’s

2. Assists with tours and Marketing calls as needed

3. Performs other duties as assigned

1. Experience in LTC/SNF preferred
2. Experience in a position working in a medical office environment using medical terminology
3. Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions when circumstances have warranted
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate the assisted living program philosophy and goals
5. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate successfully with a variety of people and customer needs.
6. Demonstrated initiative, judgment and leadership skills
7. Must successfully complete DETA Brain Series, First Aid Training and CPR
8. Current RN license in good standing with the State of Alabama
9. Minimum two years’ experience as a supervisor in a health care setting
