Responsibilities

As a Skilled Care Billing Specialist, you'll be vital in ensuring our financial health, allowing us to continue providing top-tier care. Your focus will be on expert billing and collections, driving excellent accounts receivable recovery. You'll be responsible for:

  • Creating and filing all Managed Care, Medicare, and PVI claims.

  • Systematically and timely resolving all accounts, meticulously documenting all collection activity.

  • Working collaboratively with facility Business Office personnel, MDS, and Therapy teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.

  • Maintaining past due balances below established goals.

  • Leveraging your knowledge of Managed Care Payer Contracts and billing guidelines.

  • Bringing your ideas to the table to suggest alternative processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Utilizing your proficiency with Point Click Care (PCC) billing functionality and maintaining detailed billing notes.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • 1+ year of prior Medical Billing and Collections experience is required.

  • Experience with SNF Managed Care and Medicare, along with Point Click Care (PCC), is highly preferred.

  • An Associate's Degree is preferred, but an equivalent combination of work experience and education will be considered.

  • A keen eye for detail and strong clerical ability to prevent errors.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, insurance companies, and outside agencies.

  • The ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software.

  • A talent for explaining complex systems and processes clearly.

  • Strong analytical skills to respond appropriately to findings and conclusions.
