Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be the financial backbone for your assigned facilities, managing crucial accounting functions and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Overseeing accounting functions for assigned facilities:
    • Month-end journal entries
    • Financial statement review
    • Balance sheet reconciliations
    • Bank account reconciliations
    • Fixed asset schedules
    • Assist with audits
    • Help prepare board and investor presentations
    • Special projects
  • Oversee and ensure all financial and statutory deadlines are met.
  • Maintain daily supervision, training and review of assigned staff accountants.
  • Participate in management meetings as needed.
  • Maintain contact with regional and facility staff to ensure business office needs are met.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • At least 2 years of general ledger accounting experience, with a focus on month-end close. Experience in multi-site healthcare is a plus.
  • A proven ability to meet financial and statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel for tasks like journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • An organized, self-motivated professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
