The Education & Training Manager is responsible for oversight, coordination and delivery of a State approved Nurse Aide Training Program. The role ensures CNAs are trained and prepared to deliver high quality resident centered care in compliance with federal and state regulations that are consistent with center guidelines and policies.
In addition, the position:
- Ensures that all classroom skills lab and clinical instruction meet federal and state regulatory requirements while preparing students for competency evaluation and successful entry into the health care workforce.
- Maintains program compliance, supports student success and ensures instructional quality aligned with industry standards and workforce needs.
- Supports survey readiness, quality improvement initiatives and workforce development by assisting with CNA education in centers and may include onboarding, orientation and ongoing in services at the direction of leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures CNA training program complies with state NATP requirements and federal regulations
- Maintains program approval status with the state regulatory body
- Ensures training hours are met (classroom, lab and clinical)
- Prepares for and participates in state audits, site visits, and program revisions
- Maintains all required documentation including but not limited to, student files, instructor credentials and clinical affiliation agreements.
- Ensures curriculum aligns with state approved content and testing standards
- Integrates hands on skills lab training and simulation exercise
- May conduct direct observation audits of CNAs performance at center locations
- May provide education for nurses and CNAs on site at health care center locations
- Ensures competencies are documented, current and survey-ready
- Identifies skills gaps and implements targeted retraining plans
- Other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.
